Hey A short while ago if I remember correctly somebody was after trying to get hold of some lights for their van. Came across this site recently which I am going to order some bits from. Prices don't seem to be too bad either, which is always a bit of a bonus www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Stock other items also which seem quite good, although mainly aimed at American Airstreams Cornish Lass

Hi Cornishlass, Betcha can't find one o' those chrome plated water pumps there! I think you should stop mucking around with that van of yours and get a serious vintage van project. Buy a John D Porter CD-book (see thread here... vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1187203174 ) and then buy this 1926 advertisement from USA ebay (170140167092), put the two together, and build a real vintage van from scratch. If this van was any older, it'd be a roman chariot! ;D You wouldn't have to worry about water pumps, 'cause they probably only had a timber bucket for washing... Don't waste any more time, Cornishlass...this is the van for you! ;D ;D cheers, Al.

Hey Al Aha - a 1926 Eccles de luxe with the lantern roof. Now wouldn't that be something You know when that was built, the 9 foot model cost £218 ($550) whereas a basic two-seater Morris Cowley cost just £162.10s ($410) One other useless fact: waaaay back in the 1930s in England they had gas fridges fitted to some vans!!!
