Great news ..... ......we have the opportunity to do 2009 calenders ........ Keith has "pulled some strings" and is able to do a calender (using pics he already has) this late in the year . In 2006 (the inaugral year of a calender issue) I "bullied" members into committing to the purchase of calenders in a short time period, in order to get the "go ahead" for the calenders ......I got criticised for my tatics and forcefull sales techniques , but hey ........it worked ......we sold ALL the calenders in a short time period . It was SOOO successful, do we want to do it again So, here's the deal We have two weeks to commit to the sale of 150 calenders, ...... and a further two weeks for payment to be made. WE ARE GOING TO NEED SOME MEMBERS WHO WILL "TAKE A PUNT" that they can unload the calenders and BULK ORDER to achieve sales of 150 calenders. Are we up to this We have until Sunday 5th October to pledge the purchase of 150 calenders at $20 per calender (no price rise ..YAY ) ......then we’ll proceed with printing of the calenders. If we don't get orders for 150 calenders, we don't print them . I also need a trustworthy reliable enthusiastic member to volunteer to handle distribution ......the 150 calenders will be freighted direct to you, and your job will be to distribute (post) them. The job won't cost you money , but it will cost you time . You won't be asked to handle the payment side of the process. The careful and accurate distribution of the calenders to members is an important task.[/b]The calenders if printed will be available by mid November. Please use this thread to pledge your order for the calenders. ……WE ONLY NEED ORDERS NOW, NOT YOUR MONEY, OR YOUR ADDRESS. Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,
I'll take 5. They are a good quality calender, & every little bit of income will help towards your maintaining this site as we all enjoy it.
Maybe one day some of the South East Queensland vans might get a chance to be photographed, even Dosse's " overated" Don.

;D ;D ;D Ahh thats great news Mark. The inside of every members van should have at least one of these jewels nailed up on the wall Hint, hint .. other members ... get in and order at least one copy NOW.. dont be the odd one out .... there is more than 400 of us out there and achieving 150 orders should be a walk in the park for us.... 2 calanders please. Let me know when , where and who to send the dollars to. Might consider ordering a couple more a bit later on if we need to get to the "150" miniumum order . Come on you guys.. we are up to 40 copies already. as Mark says.. HURRY< HURRY< HURRY Reddo

G'day Mark,
Great news about the calendar!! I was disappointed when I heard that there might not be a 2009 edition. Looking at the V V calendar above my desk is a sure fire way of lifting my spirits.
You can put me down for 5. I'm hoping I may be able to persuade my local caravan service place to have a few on the counter...

For 2007 and 2008 each page was A4 size..... when opened out the top page was photos of a Vintage Caravan and the bottom page was the month calendar. The quality is much better that these scans indicate. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cobber.

Hi Mark, Great news - thanks to all involved. Please put me down for 2 calendars. I know that Firefighter has already put his hand up for distribution, but I am also happy to do the same. Perhaps he can do VIC/SA/TAS and I can do NSW/QLD. No doubt WA can be handled from your end or by someone else in WA? ? That way postage will be cheaper. What do you think - does that sound like a plan? I can also do up an orders and payment list (with receipts) for Coledale for anyone (member or non-member) to pay me then and i will post out the calendars once they are ready. Hopefully that way we can get some orders from the general public aswell. Is that ok? Regards Diane

Great news. I said if they were around the $20 mark each that i`d buy ten so put me down for ten please. I`ll be calling into Coledale so i can pay & pick up there if that`s ok? If not, let me know the total postage cost and to whom to send a MO to. Whoopee!
