G'day All, I managed to score a bundle of old Motor Manual magazines on ebay the other day... I'll never understand ebay. I was the one and only bid for these, ($10). Listed as: " Bundle Vintage 1940s 1950s Motor Manual Car Magazines." with the description " Some good reading amongst this lot, but they have had plenty of adverts snipped out of them, and some covers and pages are loose. About 12 copies. A bit ugly but too good to put out for recycling!" Don't understand why Keith's Caravan books command such high prices, and these magazines had no interest. Anyhoo, as the seller said, "some cutouts"...which as it turned out was from the caravan section of each mag. (damn!) "Ha ha ha, Sucked In!!" I hear you say. Well, yes and no. There is still a heap of information left behind on caravans, so our History section will benefit. There were actually 15 magazines as it turned out, for various months starting June 1947 through to December 1955. Now comes the hard part of scanning and posting up onto the forum. Stay tuned... cheers, Al.
