JUst scored an English van magazine, published Jan 1939. Its called CARAVAN incorporating "The Caravan Trailer" and "The Caravan World" Lot's of Lantern Roof vans , A picture of the "new Eccles showrooms in London with a picture of their new Eccles motor caravan, which was about to set off on a tour of North Africa! The binding is separating but the pages are nice and clear with almost no yellowing, picked it up for 1 dollar at a collectable shop in Hobart.
I dream of finding English magazines from that era
Can you tell me if there are any advertisements (or articles) in the mag. regarding “Brockhouse” who made chassis components, and complete chassis, and offered plans for caravans to suit their chassis back in those days.
No Wildeshott or Brockhouse products, sorry guys, but Cobber seeing your interested in van's from that era, and i'm a fifties, early sixties kind a bloke, you can have it if you want, quite happy to send by registered post, i think you would appreciate it more than me.
Don Ricardo and Cobber, i have just sent you the magazines, by registered post, so they should be in your mailboxes next cuppla days. Don Ricardo there is no rush to send the KW mag back, as there is quite a bit of info and pictures in it so it may take you a bit of time to sort thru it. Cobber i also thru in another mag, its a 1964 NZ car mag, don't know if it would interest you or not, if not by all means pass it on to somebody else on the forum who may be interested. Hope you enjoy the English mag.
