Hello, we're Beth and Sean.
We live in Oxley in Brisbane and we have a VERY cute 60's caravan called a Trail-a-Home. Its in great condition, previously owned by 1 family and stored in a carport. Our problem is we can't store it undercover and with a young family and house renovations on the go we can't give it the love it deserves.
So, we're considering selling the van if we can find it a good home at the right price. Its got the original fridge, stove and sink, the paint job internally is perfect (nice range of pastals), all the cupboards and fixtures are great, original canvas annexe with wooden poles, original lino which we've polished, new tyres, current rego, new curtains made by moi. It sleeps 4 - 2 on couch bed, and 2 on couch when table is down. Plus, the cupboards are full of original and well kept items such as saucepans, crockery, plasticware, cupboard chocks and so on. The frame is timber and its aluminium cladding.
Work needed is resealing - some rain getting in of late and we don't want that! Hence needing to get it undercover. May want to freshen up external paint although its pretty good.
I'll send some photos in a day or 2. Just gotta make some time to sort through my photo album.
We'd love to hear from anyone who could estimate a selling price, tell us any more about the make/history, or who could offer our caravan a new home.
Have a great day, Beth

G'day Beth and Sean,
Welcome to the forum. It'll be great to see some pics of your Trail-A-Home when you get them up. There's nothing on that brand in the History section yet, so it would be good to get an entry up and running.
Hopefully someone will be able to come up with some info to help you.

G'day Beth & Sean, Welcome to the forum, even if you are just passing through We look forward to seeing photos of your 1960's "Trail – a – Home", I have been able to find a couple of advertisements about them from 1954 & 1959 and they look quite impressive. I have posted those photos in the “Down History Lane” section of the forum, they are all plywood so I imagine your's is different as you say it is aluminium clad.... how long is the one you have ? Regards, Cobber.

Hey folks,
Well that was quick! We've sold the Trail-a-Home to David and Ilse.
Thanks everyone for your input, and hopefully you'll get to see the van one day. Meanwhile, I'll still try to get a couple of pics up to satisfy curiosity. I'm sure you'll all agree how very cute it is.
Sorry Doug and Vicki, I've sent you a PM.
Cheers, Beth and Sean
