We're looking to find a new home for my father in laws old hand made van. Free to good home at this stage..
To get it out of the shed, we need to replace the old Imperial tyres (165x380 - 6.5-15).
Any thoughts on where we can source two tyres - and who can fit them. We're in the Doreen area if that helps..

Hi Picquic, Welcome to the forum. I lived in Doreen until a year or so ago. I always had good service from Bridgestone Tyres near the corner of Bridge Inn Road and Yan Yean Road. They replaced the tyres on our bondwood a couple of years ago (not to mention quite a few car tyres over the years). The fact that you're replacing 'imperial tyres' shouldn't be a problem because tyre sizes are still measured in inches, weirdly enough. So you just need a 15 in x 6.5 in tyre. One thing though, you should ask for Light Truck Tyres. That's possibly changed since your F-i-L built the van, but the Light Truck Tyres are recommended for caravans because they have stiffer walls and provide greater stability on the road. Hope that helps. It'd be great to see some photos of the van at some stage. There's info on how to post photos on the forum if you click here. Don Ricardo
