Hi Kenny, That's an interesting story you've posted on the production of VW Kombi based motor homes. I presume when you mentioned 'travelhomes' you were thinking of motor homes? Back in the day (ie the 20's and 30's) they were always referred to as 'motor caravans', while the type of caravans that were towed were referred to as 'trailer caravans'. That's just a bit of trivia for you, in case you're interested. Your post was originally posted on a thread about Travel Home caravans, which was an actual brand of caravans built in Victoria in the 60's and 70's. Your post didn't relate to Travel Home caravans as such, so I've moved it to a new thread called 'VW Kombi Motor Homes' in the 'Whatever' section of the forum. The 'Whatever' section is for posts and threads about topics not specifically linked to vintage caravans. Hope that's OK? The Kombi based vans look like a clever adaptation, and look as if they provide a fair bit more space than the traditional Kombi campervans. Don Ricardo
