I have a section about 1ft x 3ft that I replaced, I had the join inline with some bracing for the dinette seat and glued the wood with epoxy resin at the back and the deeper part of the join and then filled it with a flexible sandable construction adhesive, I undercoated it and sanded it again and used a fine exterior filler over what was left showing. It looked good for about a year sitting around in undercoat but then a crack started to appear about 6" long from the front of the caravan back. Now I want to put one more coat of undercoat on before I start putting colour on but I am trying to work out a way to not have the crack from the join come back.
