Hi All,
I am after a set of Vintage Chrome Pull Handles for my caravan. I'm not overly worried about what design they are, but I need 12 at the very minimum or preferably 14 ish.
As I don't want to re-fill holes and makes new ones, they need to have a centre to centre hole measurement of 76mm.
I will be looking on Ebay, Etsy, Gumtree, Facebook etc etc, but thought it best to mention to you all incase anyone has some squirrled away anywhere.
Many thanks Diane

Hi Di Can't help with the handles, but wanted to say "hi, long time no hear!" Have you tried the BGS for handles? What state (apart from inebriated!!) are you living in these days? Can you put up a pic of what you prefer? Cheers Ray

Hi Ray,
Thanks for your message and yes hello it has been a long time.
I'm still in Queensland (not inebriated) and loving it.
Yes I have tried the BGS and M 10 as well as some other hardware and handles places.
I'm really not worried about what style they are, as long as they are chrome, 76mm centre to centre hole and all of the same style. The only criteria is that I don't want them to be a completely plain handle.
Kind regards Di

G'day Di, and a big "hello" from me for your reappearance as well! Searching for handles is like looking for the holy grail. I'm still looking for plastic push-button handles, six years after finishing my van. The most difficult thing I've found is knowing what 'key words' will yield some worthwhile results, because the people that list their items can sometimes use really obscure words. For example, these handles on etsy are listed as "antique modern kitchen cupboard handle latch NOS, national lock co N61-308", and your chances of discovering these handles are limited if you use the word 'vintage' in your search. You can sometimes get some leads from searches like this oneFor your list of ebay sellers that you follow, there is a seller in California USA who often has one or more cabinet handles/pulls listed. The downside is that there is rarely the number you are looking for, but it is a useful source to see what some of the vintage handle designs looked like. The other downside is that postage costs from the US are now horrendous. The ebay seller is okatiedid, who also lists other bits and pieces for the vintage American trailers, some of those parts being used here in Australia. Good luck with your search. cheers, Al.

G’day Di. Welcome back 😉 Have you searched through the restorations parts suppliers list?
The authentic vintage and hardware site have a lot of good stuff including push button handles and knobs. Anyway, this link takes you to their handles page ( the home page is worth looking at too.) Cobber.

Dear Al, Cobber and Ray, Thank you so much gents for your friendly welcome backs. I have looked in on the site from time to time and have still been using my van on rare occasions. But have spent a few years carrying out Palliative and EOL care for family members, which as you can imagine has been all encompassing. But I am now having more free time and so will turn up on the forum and in person every so often. Thank you so much with your help and suggestions and the links - what fantastic information. And Ray thanks for your phone call whilst at the BGS earlier today - it was great to catch up. On the weekend I managed to purchase a set of 14 handles (without screws) from the US on Ebay, fingers crossed that they arrive ok and that I can get the right screws to fit. So hopefully they will do the trick, if not I will be on the search again. Al, not sure if you have put up a photo recently of the plastic push-button handles that you are searing for, but might be worth adding it to this thread as well - you never know who has things squirreled away. Many thanks Di

Hi Di, what screws are you wanting?
If you need original style raised head slotted ones let me know what size as I have some here.
Cheers, Leigh.

Hi Leigh,
Thanks for you offer - that's great.
Once the new (old) handles arrive, I will check them against the screws that I have on my current handles and see if they will do the job. If not, I will try and work out the size needed and let you know.
Much appreciated.
Thanks Diane
