Hi Colcol,
Hopefully the link Shesgotthelook has given you will assist you to post some photos of your van.
The easiest way is to use the 'Add Attachment' button if you're just wanting to put up a few one-off posts and pics. However, I notice that you are posting via your mobile, so have a look at the instructions given in the links because there is an extra step to take before the button shows on your mobile. (I've got no idea why the platform we use requires that - it's annoying!)
Just while you're posting your photos, does the serial number have a letter in front of, or after the numbers? If it does that will help us work out the date because Viscount changed their numbering system a couple of times over the years.

Hi Colcol,
Well done on posting the photos, including the one of the sticker with the chassis number.
Is the serial number also shown in weld on the arm of the drawbar? There should be a letter as part of it.
From what you have told us and from what I can see, I an guessing the serial number on the drawbar may be ‘R66950’. If that’s the case, then your van is a 1976 Viscount Royal. If my guess is incorrect then we will have to think a bit harder!!

Thanks for the quick reply ! I will look tomorrow on the drawbar for the number and let you know . The picture of the chassis no I took was inside the door frame near the bottom . If it is 1976 - do you know if there is a market for them and if so what price could I get ? The van is not Registered . Thanks so much for the help so far Regards Colcol

I think it's a bit later than 76 but I'm no expert. Have you joined the Viscount owners page on facebook? They are dynamite at establishing age of caravans. Regarding values, that's something we don't discuss on here but depending on the condition of your van, they are highly desirable & selling well at the moment, given that no one can travel overseas! Hi SGTL and Colcol,
You may be right about the van being a bit later, SGTL. However, I’ve checked the Viscount register and the chassis number numerals don’t match anything after 1976, hence my comment. However, I would expect there to be an ‘R’ before the number on the drawbar. If Colcol can tell us whether that’s there or not, that will help us with the date.
Colcol, the Viscount register is kept by Twocutekelpies on this forum. I’ll message her to ask her to post what she thinks.

I'm with Don Ricardo, 1976 Royal. It's not unusual for the sticker to not have the model letter and only contain numbers. The height of the side marker lights lines up with '76, they were usually higher in the late 70s (and early 70s). Cheers Shelley

This was our Vincent in original trim, it was dated Feb 1977. Sliding inside cupboard doors, some models were hinged. Cheers Brent

Thanks Mustang for the info . Your van has rounded corner windows which mine doesn’t but when I checked inside to see if cupboards were sliding or hinged mine has a bit of both !!! Weird ! Today I will see what the drawbar numbers are and put up a post to see if we can get a better idea of what this baby is . Thanks for everyone’s support .

I have found the chassis number on the drawbar and it does have a letter in front .... you guys know your vans !!!! It is R 66950 . It is a 16 footer and looks like it sleeps 4 . Two on the double bed and there is a fitted cushion to match the rounded bench seat at the front . However I don’t know how it fits together as we have never used the van . I will put up some pictures - any help on this would be great . Thanks

Hi Colcol, That's excellent you've found the serial number for your van. Yes, R66950 definitely confirms that it is a 1976 Viscount Royal. It would be good to see some photos of it. There is info on how to post photos if you click here. Don Ricardo
