Hi there, we bought this lovely caravan, it is registered as a 1900 korong, we had to renovate it as it was rotten through, the front Windows look a little different as the corners where rounded window too, we had to square them off. There is a number on the chasis I think it days 2496. I will try and attach photos. Can anyom3 advise on age and model, also any recommendations on insurance as I'm struggling to find one. Thank you

Hi Donna75,
Hughdeany has identified your van on the FB page. But regarding the year it was built, that’s coded in the serial number which is actually ‘249-6’. The ‘6’ after the ‘-‘ tells us that it was built in 1966, and the numbers before the ‘-‘ tell us that it was the 249th van built by Franklin in that year. So that means that it was built fairly early in the year because it’s a relatively low number.
Regarding insurance, that can be a bit of a difficult issue. You can try CIL or - depending on where you live - you can also try your auto service organisation. RACV insures vintage vans, and I think NRMA does as well, possibly even if you don’t live in NSW.
