It has come time to part with our two Dons.
Both need extensive restoration work ie; reskinning, new windows etc
If you are looking for something to paint and tow, these are NOT for you.
The first is a 12ft (120 model) that is rough on the outside but mostly complete on the inside. This was bought from the 2nd owner who used it for a short time but then sat it outside and used as a spare room/study room for their daughter.
We towed it home from Henty to Bendigo 8yrs ago and has been in a shed since.
The second is a unique van as it is one of the oldest known 14ft (140 model) on the forum. With a serial number of 246 there has been speculation that this may even be pre-war.
Again, this van has been outside for a long time and the outside is poor. The inside however is in remarkably good condition with features like the original shaving bowl and toothpaste holder still in place.
We rescued these vans with the view to save them. We are committed to seeing these go to a good home where they will receive a full restoration and that they won't be turned into something that they weren't designed to be. We also gave our word to the elderly owners of both vans that they would go to a good home.
While these are up for sale, we don't need to sell them, so any silly offers or talk of them becoming food vans will not be considered.
I apologise for there being no photos but I don't have access to any and I'm posting this on behalf of my father who can't share photos either.
If you are interested, please contact Ian on (03)54477509 or 0428477509 for inspection.
Both vans are located in Bendigo. Vic.
