Hi there and welcome, Roadmaster were the Rolls Royce of caravans in their time and are beautifully hand built with lots of standard extras. They were heavy for their size due to their construction, and I clearly remember someone saying they were the only caravan that could be classed as a family heirloom and passed down! If you look under the down history lane section have a look at Roadmaster and Adelma, you will find info their and there are a few belonging to members here. Cheers hughdeany

Hi Claytonfrancis, Welcome to the forum and thanks for telling us about your potential purchase. You may find a bit of information to help you in the Roadmaster thread in the Down History Lane section of the forum - click here. The other suggestion is to give Roadmaster Caravans a ring. They still exist as a caravan maintenance, repair and modification business in Adelaide - click on this link. The person to speak to if you can is Larry Weepers who owned the business and was building the vans in 1973, although he has now retired. But the current owners of the business may be able to help you, and have probably had some experience with actual Roadmaster caravans. Some other forum members may be able to help also. Don Ricardo
