Thanks Ray,
last year at this time we took the 1953 Vauxhall Vagabond and Sportsman Teardrop from Melbourne to Kununurra, then through WA to Kalgoorlie and back home to Victoria. One of the highlights was seeing the wildflowers on the back roads from Geraldton to Kalgoorlie.
We were away for 10 weeks and covered 18,000 km. Just look at us now - cant go more than 5 kms from home!!!!! So lucky we did it last year and not now.
Your pictures brought back lovely memories of our travels.
Leigh.

Hi Roehm,
What fabulous photos. Thanks for sharing them with us all.
You must have enjoyed your time away with all that to look at. We have such amazing flora (and fauna).

Thought I would add to a bit of Covid Colour Judy and I went for a little drive from Canberra to Young to view the Canola fields which are in fill bloom this time of year. Cant wait to get the van out again to clock up some kilometres. Koala

Koala. I Used to love driving down the Newell Hwy at this time, then hang a right into SA where the canola was contrasted with the Patterson's Curse paddocks.

Wow, that a lot of work to transfer all those images, thank you. Cheers Mustang I was wondering if I was going to get a rap across the knuckles from DonR over this number, but he must be snoozing. The time consumption comes from firstly the day's excursion of fieldwork and then about half as long again editing. The beauty of digital photography is that you can never take too many shots, as they get sorted in the wash. Moving them to here is easy by comparison. My goal is to be the world's best macro photographer by the age of 80. Cobber will tell you, that number comes pretty quickly!!!

G'day Roehm,
No rap over the knuckles from me for your photos! We have a long tradition on the forum of members posting about their travels with lots of photos of places visited, postcard-worthy scenery, flora and fauna - and of course vintage caravans seen on the journey. Think of Daggsey, Kingy, Sutcac and others. I've even indulged in a very small way myself.
I'm just glad to see somebody reviving the tradition. Go for it!
