We would like to sell our caravan but have no idea where to list or how much to ask. We have had it for over 40 years and it was well second hand when we bought it. It is nearly all original except for the fridge, window winders and cushions. It has some dry rot that was in it when we bought it but doesn’t seem to have worsened since we treated it on purchase. Original lights are there but we have installed led for efficiency reasons. It is a 12 foot bond wood and has been used for one holiday a year up the bush. It tows well, is registered and has always been kept under cover. Any advice would be appreciated.
Prices are one topic which we don't talk about and is a rule written into our forum guidelines. It has caused many problems in the past. The value of any vintage caravan is so dependent on its condition, its rarity and the heart! I know that prices are talked about on another vintage caravan facebook site and I regularly see people putting their two bob's worth in about the value of a particular van which doesn't help with the sale whatsoever. A couple of years ago I was told I was asking a ridiculous price on a caravan and sold it in three days at the price I wanted.
