2020 VINTAGE CARAVAN NATIONALS
NATIONAL MOTOR MUSEUM, BIRDWOOD - Thursday, 7 May The Nationals team is currently organising an all day bus tour to the National Motor Museum, Birdwood, with a possible stop in Hahndorf for morning tea. Hahndorf was settled in 1839 by Prussian settlers, and its heritage is reflected in its streetscape and shops today. But more importantly to vintage vanners, it is also the location of artist Hans Heysen's home and studio "The Cedars" and home to his 1930 Adelaide-built Eicke & Provis 'fly proof, folding caravan' which was used during many of his painting trips to the Flinders Rangers, and is on display at "The Cedars". Details and costs of the proposed tour are not available as yet, but we need to know how many people are interested in this activity. If you would like to be involved in this tour, please post on this thread or send me a PM with the number of people who are interested.
By posting or messaging you are not making a commitment at this stage. We just need to know approximate numbers so that we can work out how many buses we might need, and the cost. At a previous VV Nationals we arranged a bus tour from Cowra to the McFeeters Motor Museum in Forbes. It was a great day out, and all the more fun enjoying each others' company in the bus - hence this proposal. Don Ricardo
