The problem has now been partially corrected!
A number of us (still) use Photobucket to post our photos on the forum. A few days ago Photobucket had significant problems with their photo hosting website following a power outage. The problem has now been partially fixed, and most of the photos which wouldn’t display in the interim are now back up and displaying correctly on the forum. (More info here if you’re interested.)
That’s mostly good news for us, but at most it was/is really only a fairly minor annoyance and irritant for forum users. However, it’s really the mostly small retailers all over the place who rely on Photobucket to display items for sale on their websites and digital catalogues we should be feeling sorry for. They suddenly lost their images in the week leading up to Christmas, just when they were probably hoping for good sales.
What about the photos with Photobucket ‘watermarks’?
Going through some of the pages in Down History Lane, I notice that some Photobucket hosted photos now have watermarks that partly obscure the photos, and also that photos posted via TinyPics have now been lost. I can probably replace almost all of those photos, and will work through each DHL thread one by one to replace what can be replaced. However, I won’t have a chance to do that until later in January onwards, so please be patient.
Unfortunately, I can’t replace watermarked or lost photos on other threads in other sections...but if there is a particular thread you’re interested in let me know and we’ll see if we can work some magic (no promises though)...

Can everybody else see the photos in this thread? Because I cannot. SGTL
...There is something weird going on over the last couple of days with photobucket photos belonging to photobucket members ( you can't see most of my past photos at the moment or Don Rs photos or even his avatar ?...
