A Family & Dog friendly park with the beautiful Grampians National Park as our backdrop.
The park is just across the road from the small unique town centre which boasts a wide variety of boutique shops & abundant eateries.
This years event focuses on gatherings around the campfire, scenic walks, beautiful drives with stunning views, wildlife in abundance & many other tourist attractions in close proximity.
This is a large park with many sites.
The North Section of the park has been especially allocated for our weekend. There are approx. 45 powered sites & a similar amount of unpowered sites.

All are in close proximity to the camp kitchen, toilet, bathroom, laundry facilities etc.

Itinerary
Friday Night -Welcome BBQ (BYO eats, chairs etc. a large bbq cooker will be supplied) chats & yarns to follow around the campfire.
Saturday - with so many local tourist attractions, walks & scenic drives etc. to take advantage of this will be a free day encouraging you to make your own choices.
Saturday Night - Dinner at the
award winning Aboriginal Cultural Centre just a five minute drive from the park. This will be a catered dinner details on bookings, costs etc will follow.
Sunday Morning - gather around campfire for morning tea (please bring a small plate
of eats to share - coffee, tea & milk supplied in camp kitchen).
Goodbyes to those heading home that day.
Bookings - Must book through office phone number NOT on line to receive discount. Mention you are with the Vintage caravan group & need to book in North Block. If you wish to attend, but have a modern van please mention to office staff when booking as these vans will be allocated sites near North Block not amongst vintage vans.
Powered Sites $36.00 (2 adults) includes discount. Extra adults & children attract an extra fee.

FRIDAY NIGHT
Organise your own meal & then meet afterwards around the camp fire.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Apologies but due to changing circumstances we have had to cancel the Dinner at the Brambuk Cultural Centre.
A get together b.b.q will be held around the camp kitchen.
Please bring your own everything ie. food, chairs, plates, cutlery etc.
Large B.B.Q supplied to cook your meat.
RAFFLE - will be drawn after meal which includes another beautiful hand made Caravan Quilt (big thanks again to Raelene)
Any donations for the raffle will be greatly appreciated.
Tea & coffee supplied along with another camp fire.
REFUND FOR PRE PAID DINNER -
Monies will be refunded to those who have pre paid Brambuk dinner.

PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES
Please note there is a small supermarket in Halls Gap supplies are limited some prices can be substantial. It may suit some people to bring supplies with them. Stawell is approx. 20 mins away & has a large shopping centre.

There are many small restaurants, eateries & takeaway shops in the town across the road from the caravan park or very close by, within walking distance.
The Grampians Hotel is close by however another function has a large booking for Sat. night.

SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL THIRD ANNUAL GET TOGETHER AFTER OUR LAST TWO SUCCESSFUL ANGLESEA GATHERINGS. The weekend amongst the Gum Trees at Halls Gap.
Thanks to all who braved the weather for a very successful weekend, a great variety of vintage caravans , some on their maiden voyage and other more seasoned travellers.
Huddling together around the camp fire created a great friendly atmosphere with lots of laughs, sharing stories and food.
On Saturday many of us headed to Stawell, seeking treasures at the Pickers Market, while others stayed locally visiting the local coffee shops or buying souvenirs, an invitation by Max and Jenny to visit Old Dadswell Town for afternoon tea delighted many, we warmed ourselves by the open fire in the old Town Hall and all were amused by Max, who has a quirky sense of humour, a must see if you are in the area.
Saturday night a BBQ at the Camp kitchen, followed by pancakes and cream, the Chefs for the day finally managed to create a few yummy batches, (we were worried for a while). The raffle, a beautiful handmade vintage caravan quilt, made by Raelene created a buying frenzy, second prize two night stay donated by the Halls Gap caravan Park, followed by lots of other lovely gifts, very grateful winners, then off to bed in our cosy little vans.
Sunday morning, farewell morning tea, lots of lovely goodies to share, more pancakes, goodbyes to all and sincerely thank all attendees and helpers, who truly made this a special weekend.
Feedback suggests it’s a must for next year.

Hi Mike & Lyn,

I agree with Bert66...thanks for sharing the photos from the Hall's Gap event. Or is it Sandra we should be thanking? Anyway thanks to whoever put together the photos.

I loved the contrast between the Then and Now photos. We should try and do that more often.

The cars in the Then photos look like a mix of 20's and 30's vehicles, but I'm guessing the photo is from the 40's? Anybody got any ideas on the date?
