I'm Looking for an 80 litre (approx) fridge for my van. Prefer a 12v DC/240v AC compressor fridge like an Engel, however will consider a 3way.
I'm located in Redcliffe QLD.

We bought a Waeco 80 litre for ours. Much lighter and smaller than the original 60 litre. Runs for nearly 48 hours on an 80 amp hour 12 volt battery.
Have had it for over 2 years, semi regular use and very happy with it so far

The 2-way and 3-way fridges use a 12v heater element positioned beside the flu - it's hidden in the insulation that covers the flu pipe. The heater element can use up to 18amps per hour and it runs full-time, compared to a 12v compressor fridge which can use as little as 1.4 amps per hour when thermostatically controlled.
Cheers, Greg
