Hi,
I’ve recently purchased a Globe Trotter and I’m from Adelaide.
I’m just wondering if anyone has tried vinyl paint or any other type of paint when restoring buttoned vinyl seats. They are pretty worn but all together. They have marks including paint, water damage and a light iron mark, so I’m hoping to recolour them as well while trying to freshen up the existing vinyl, and to save costs.
Any links or suggestions, very much appreciated.
Thank you! Heidi

Hi OP. You will find more help on this subject if you try googling something like "painting vinyl upholstery". I once bought a van that had repainted upholstery and I have to say it was rather shabby. Not sure how long it had been on there, but personally I wouldn't consider doing that if looking for a long-term fix. Perhaps making material covers to go over the existing vinyl would be a longer-lasting alternative (and not as cold on the bottom!).
