As many of you know, in the past couple of years our great mate cobber has not been well, with what was diagnosed as chronic fatigue. It affected him so much that he was unable to come to the nationals at Wangaratta last year, the first time he had missed a nationals event since they started. It has now been found that he has blocked arteries (one up to 90%) and last week he underwent triple by-pass surgery! His wife Yvonne tells me he has made great recovery and is starting to get crotchety with the nurses - always a good sign! I spoke to him last night and while he is still in hospital undergoing physio, he is hopeful that he will be allowed to go home later this week. Hopefully this op will give cobber a new lease of life and enable him to come to many more vintage caravan gatherings. All the very best old fellah! Ray

Hi Ray, Yes, it's great to hear that Cobber is getting on well after his surgery. Hopefully it will give him a new spring in his step once he's had a chance to recover. Speaking to him recently, he said he was hoping to get to the 2020 Nationals, and was wondering which van to bring! It will be great if he's there. I'm looking forward to having a face to face catch up with him already. Don Ricardo
