Hi everybody, I have decided that now is finally the time to seperate myself for sentimental reasons from my Father's caravan that he on his own hand built back in the 1940's. It has been consistently garaged from the time he built it till now, with one 6 month exception when he lived in it back in the late eighties while building his home. This is the reason the bottom half of the entry door is no longer with it as it succumb to deterioration and was removed once the van was re-garaged. It is commonly referred to as a 4 birth as far as I know and everything is in original condition. The original gas cooker is the only thing not now with it, although I may have something to suit of a similar vintage.
The general condition is fair for a van of this material and approximately 75 years old. Structurally and in so far as the roof, walls and flooring everything is in good condition without rot or fatigue. It is essentially cosmetic where the old girl requires some loving attention.
To be equitable and fair to everyone interested in this van I would ask if experienced members might be able to provide me with a realistic market value for such an original unit and or some feedback as to their opinion of its merits.
The van is located on our acreage property in Dural (2158) which is on the northern out skirts of Sydney approximately 45 minutes from the CBD (traffic dependent of course). And of course it is now un-registered.
Thank you in advance for any constructive feedback and valuation you may provide. My preference would be if interested parties could call me or email as I may not frequent this thread as often as I should. My number is 0411 197 141 and email is confirm11@tpg.com.au.

Ps. Since it is not obvious as to how you upload and include photos to this forum I have alternatively uploaded them to 'Dropbox' site where anyone can then download for their benefit. Link provided -
