Hi all, I mentioned in another post that Dona Ricardo and I had been away on holiday recently. The holiday consisted of a trip from Adelaide to Darwin on The Ghan train, six days in Darwin and then a of couple of days in Brisbane to catch up with some family members. The trip on The Ghan was absolutely wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone as a great way to see the centre while being being pampered in very comfortable quarters by the train staff, who are amazing. While we were in Darwin, I kept my eyes peeled for anything that looked at all like a vintage caravan, but only saw one - a 70's Viscount near Batchelor on the way to the Litchfield National Park: However, on the train itself we were totally blown away to meet up with another vintage vanner - Roehm3108, who was in a carriage close to ours and was using the same dining car and lounge car as us. That's him on the left and me on the right below, during an off train excursion to the Katherine Gorge: Given that the train itself was close to a kilometre long and consisted of 19 sleeping carriages, what are the chances of us only being a couple of carriages apart and using the same dining car? Amazing who you bump into when you least expect it! Don Ricardo

That was a fun trip, DonR and great to catch up with you and DonnaR. I couldn't believe it was them at first and thought DonR had a doppelganger in Australia! Now THAT was a spooky thought!!
