Hi Folks
I spotted this in the latest "Just Cars" magazine. Page 170
Apparently the owner is having a clearance sale of about 20 old cars, trucks etc. Locale - Sydney NSW
He states the 1929 Dodge is the oldest camper in australia.
Adv states runs very well ... so that may indicate that there is little to do on it mechanically. focus all your attention and money on the resto of the camper body.
How would she look parked up amongst the vans at Coledale or tagging along on the WA spring tour. OK before anyone chimes in with "Its not a vintage caravan" i would say in my humble opinion it is definitely part of Australias touring Heritage. Sort of in the same ilk as the fifth wheeler fargo combination at Blanchetown S.A we looked at on the Morgan gettogether. While not being caravans Kombis, J2 Vans, commers, Thames, Bedford vans etc would probably fall into the same category. They have carted couples and or families all over Australia on Camping holidays , shooting trips and surfing safaris.
Ad States "All must be sold to best offer. Ends september 2006." other vehicles include Buick, Chev lend lease,, Inter, Maple Leaf, all between 1930 and 1960 mostly cab chassis, 1935 chev sedan stored since 1940... no rust , low miles, plus a bedford CFS Van, SLR 5000, XJ12 Jag convertible. Its enough to make any vintage tin collector druel
Ph: 02 99138639 6- 6.30pm or 02 99139936 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
Inspections by appointment saturday and sunday.
I am suppose to go to a display day this weekend with my old bikes but if this wind and rain keeps up i might ring the vendors and head down to sydney for a look.
Just out of curiosity what do ya's reckon its worth.
I will probably get the old clique " Its worth what some nut is prepared to pay"
Cheers All
