Chris,Kayt, Delilah, Ned and Mac will be heading over to Murrurundi to join you all in the Riveria. Looking forward to it. Just whipping up a new floor rug for Rivvi to keep our toes warm. It's a bit chilly here in Mudgee today. See you all then. K

Just started packing the van (well Anne has) and she has asked me to find out f there is anything planned for Saturday night.
Are we having a Christmas dinner. Is it a bring your own by bits of food, or is it bring and share, or are we visiting a pub/club?
(We missed the first annual Christmas in July last year as we were in Qld). Mike

Hi MIke and Anne,
Last year everyone just did their own thing re dinner. The open fire was used for camp oven cooking and the camp kitchen had a pretty good stove , a very casual get together . See you soon

No longer vanless if you are coming we will be bringing the Supalite Cadet, if the vintage caravan legend Reddo comes he will bring the Supalite Atlas.
Bluebirds tow car will be LJ GTR XU1 which will certainly test the clutch.
2 more sleeps to go .

Exiting news people, it is confirmed Mr Reddo will be attending our gathering. This is a major coo for a junior organiser. Long term vintage vanners would know MR Reddo has forgotton more about vintage caravanning than most of us will ever know.Due in part to alcohol abuse on vintage van tours, I know I was there?? I think ?? my memory is not that good either.
1 more sleep to go.

Hi all, Shaun and I are really upset to be saying this, but unfortunately we won't be making it up this weekend 😕
There's been a death in our family and need to be elsewhere.
So sorry, we were really looking forwards to taking our new Sunliner away and catching up with all you lovelies.
I rang Carol today and let her know.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Monica

Sorry to hear Bluebirds, look after those near and dear. Aquarius Mother must be something important, I know how you love our get togethers. Tooleyau`s nice drive from Gulgong, if you want a short cut turn off at Merriwa and head to Scone a few hills but less trafic. With a couple of cancellations here`s your chance gunnas , ring carol and hitch the van. Everyone just like the gamblers, always drive responsibly.

howdy all
back home in our snug house with the fire warming us up after another great christmas at murrurundi thanks to john and pam.
we ate pretty well with john and pam and judy providing hot soups and stews for the best part of the weekend and veronica providing all the sweet treats like custard slices, christmas (red and green) rum balls and apple and cream biscuitty cakey things as afters every night - it's a hard act to follow i can tell you.
it was lovely during the days but a bit chilly at night which made us feel pretty bad knowing most were sleeping in cold caravans and getting up in the cold to go to the dunny and showers while we lay in our air-conditioned and toasty warm train carriage with the ensuite just as warm and welcoming - it was tough but we soldiered on.
on top of all that was the fantastic company that vintage caravanners always provide, old and new, so not much else to say than thanks again and see you all again soon.
thanks again john and pam - back again next year.
geoff 'n jude
ps the junior organizer is on his way to a merit badge, me thinks.

OK, Hopefully everyone is home now or just about ,is safe, well and car/van all good. To those who came thanks, to those that couldn`t make it you missed a good weekend. To those that are slack, pull the didget out next time. General consences seemed to be that most would like to go around again. There is a lot to see and do in the area or you can relax around what is a pretty park. Carol and Doug are great hosts and will always try and make your stay memorable.
