Hi everyone. At long last photo bucket is working so here are some photos. I guess this post will spark some discussion about where it might fit as it is not 'vintage' as i just made it, but it is original out of the original mould, warts and all. I have the rights to the name Kennedy from Filam and Scott Russell who owned the mould and his father produced the vans. seeing sun for the first time in 50 years in a sorry state getting it back together a lot of elbow grease here. two weeks of buffing the old grime and wax off it, then a week of polishing 5 days with a full polish of the body per day. back together and ready to go door skins and spats ready to go. The new chassis, a bit of overkill but legal to 1450 kgs, Independent suspension, electric brakes, hand brake. Have to go to bed now. more in the next few days. thanks for your interest. Mark

Credit to you Mark, that's a vote from me, you are preserving a part of Caravan history. The wheel spats look real neat.

I have no problem personally with such especially as you are using the original mould to the van. I think replicas are just as important as the originals and have their place, also they keep the shapes/items alive and get people interested in the old and retro vans again. But this is even more special as it is coming out of the old mould.
But that aside how fantastic is it to see the original mould, and see it getting ready to be used again. Great work, look forward to seeing more photos of the van as you progress to make it.

My apologies to those that wanted to see the van in queenscliff. The vicroads website is not accepting payments (very unusual) for temperory unregistered permits so i cannot move the van. You will have to make do with the photos until a later date. So Sorry, but thanks for a great night at the club. Mark.

WOW!!! a scary revival. I take it the shell is just sitting on the chassis. (no floor visable) Will you be selling to a lock up stage? Congratulations

Amazing job!... Love it! Not being critical, but hopefully you will be using wheels that will enhance the classic design, and not cheapen it. It's way too nice :-)

Thanks aussied. the wheels came with the chassis. i am not quite sure yet what to do with them. Possible some old style alloys with a bit of offset to widen the track. but i will keep with the 14 inch rims. The Wheel spats will cover them more and give a better 60's look. Mark.

Lovely job. New van from old mould, using new materials technology for the better. Hope it works well for you. They are a lovely shaped van
Just wish the owners of Olympic would allow the same. Would love to see a 16ft Olympic with the 19ft lines. But I digress.
Cheers Atog.

Hi mark, Looks a winner all the way. From your recent photos I see the rear bumper missing, good to see. Personally have you thought of a small lip to cover the rear chassis? Also the rear indicator/stop /tail lights appear to be in one, have you considered 3 x individual period style lights? Congratulations on getting this far with your project I wish you every success. cheers Brent

I sent an email to Wild Dog Campers, but they say they know nothing of Wild Dog Caravans. His Facebook page seems inactive too
