This is a great little gismo to use with your 5 inch random orbit palm sander.
If you use one of those 5 inch random palm sander gadgets this gismo has to be the bargain of the week and worth trying it out.
The idea is the crepe pad that the sanding disc sits on will remove most of the clogged paint and debris from the disc as it runs down to a stop.
This extends the useful life of the disc up to a (claimed) five times (see the spiel on the pics below)
The gismo has a very ‘grippy’ non-slip base and hangs on extremely well without sliding on any timber, textured or painted surface, and on shiny steel as well.
Don't stop reading now as there's more..
There is provision in the base of the gismo to screw it down onto a benchtop or a temporary work surface for added security.
There’s even more..
Another use I can see for this gismo is as a small carousel if you have an item you wish to spin around while spray painting.
You want even more..?? you greedy buggers..
By now you’re wondering if you get free steak knives as well eh..
Alas there are no steak knives but the best is yet to come..
Now the best bit..
Read on..
Down there.. \/ \/ \/
The ‘gismo’ is for sale at Bunnings for one cent!
Now is that a bargain or isn’t it..
Yep, that is one cent ($0.01), I didn’t get the price wrong although there is a catch..
You have to buy something else (anything else in the store) as the cash registers cannot handle one cent alone.
Bugger.. I’ve just realised..
Maybe I shoulda bought ten of them so the cash register could handle ten cents..
