I have the chassis ready to be sandblasted , with the four corner support legs removed , water tank removed , any remaining bolts , aluminium rivets punched through , all done after photo taken , the guy doing the sandblasting will get the repairs & new draw bar done through his engineering neighbour whom he has a working relationship with. I personally know the sandblaster & he is going to etch prime / paint chassis when completed . He is off to NZ for holidays so will get it done when he gets back. Another photo is of the coupling , not sure what to do here , originally was going to put it in the bin & put a new one on , however I realize I would lose the originality of the vans coupling , page 10 on the couplings page shows a similar one made in Newcastle that maybe was made for Sunliners , those vans I think were 1958 / 63 not sure exactly but if that was true then my vans makers Viscount may of used this same one from 1963 , sourced from Newcastle but without a name , bit of a mistery really , just wondering if anyone has had a new shaft replaced in their coupling as this one is rusted away at the rear , I would like to keep it & have it fitted to the new draw bar. just doing my homework to have it all done at the one time. regards al.

You certainly are taking to this Vintage at a supersonic pace, very nice work.
PS: forgot to add earlier, one would not see a van like this so free of travel dents/stone damage etc?

Thanks sgtl for the sound advice , think I'll put a new coupling on along with new springs , keep it safe , also thanks for the tile you pointed out , I placed a bid on it.
Thanks mustang for the ebay / tile you placed on the forum , & the compliment yeah the van is really straight on the kitchen side , however a lot of drill holes on the door side , along the bottom , heaps of them ,not sure why will have to get them welded up / filed back . really want to get the chassis & floor done asap & have the van sitting back on its chassis, will breathe easy then . regards al.

Posted a photo of my fc holden , have had it sitting in photobucket for a while , this photo was taken last year just before the car club i'm in went on a poker run as part of the $5000 that was raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service over the course of a year , each year a charity is picked & money raised , the motor is a hot grey. I have been trying to upload photos from my samsung 2 mobile to photobucket however it doesn't want to upload for some reason , once i have photos in photobucket i have no troubles with that , its frustrating , any tips would be appreciated , as far as the vv i have chassis sandblasted & painted with a new draw bar ( painted same purple as holden ) new coupling , 45 mm new axle, new springs, electric brakes, hr rims sandblasted & painted , new tyres , a new floor fitted & van lowered back onto the chassis bolted down with stainless bolts, washers & nuts , & have been attacking the rear door side replacing framework etc , will post photos if i can sort upload to photobucket.
