Today's prices to have something manufactured appear to average around $1000.00 a day, so I would expect you have done well. Now zooming down the highway at 100kph your mind is clear.

Pretty happy with my stripe. No way am I going to try & tape the sides ha ha. Work has come to a grinding halt with a fairly sick child. Hopefully he will be home tomorrow.

The interior looks wonderful with original curtains, covers and flooring. Beautiful also to see bare hinges without a hint of paint on them. The work you have done outside is fantastic.

Near side looks good! I tried a 2nd coat on the other side & it's not so good Also, the yellow tape the sign writer put on for me has lifted the paint in some spots. Anyway, here's the good side

Jockey wheel was completely unusable. I was fairly keen to keep the original & clever mr SGTL pulled it apart & replaced the insides of it.

New gas set up. Done by a licensed plumber/gasfitter to Vic regulations. We built the arm to mount the regulator on & just have to make brackets to hold the bottle in.

Hi Chris, plumber pressure tested the existing line. I think he may have put a new fitting at the stove? Can't remember. He did bolt the stove in for me as this had never been done. He also disconnected the gas lantern that is above the table. Only new thing is the regulator & flex hose.

Hi SGTL,
Congratulations on all the work you've put into the Viscount, and on getting the van registered. You must be feeling pleased to have reached this stage.
This van is a really unusual shape when you look at it side on, isn't it? Some similarities to the shapes of some of the Aerolites with the 'leaning forward' profile.
I'm looking forward to seeing the van in all its glory at one of the Vintage Caravan events. I'm pretty sure it's the earliest Viscount still around, or at least that we know about.

Hi sgtl, congratulations to both you and Mr sgtl for a tremendous effort in bringing this van back to life! Lovely van, and a real credit to you both. Funny that you recently promoted a book for sale about vintage caravans...I would think you could produce a book of your own showing all the restorations you've accomplished in recent years!! Well done to you both! cheers, Al.
