G'day Leigh, I don't know if any of the vans are for sale. All the pics were taken at random as we drove around sight seeing. There are plenty out there and a lot seem to be abandoned. I guess opal mining would be a fairly fickle way to make a living.
Cheers Bob.

My thanks too for all the photos, always interesting to see things as other people did, even though you are at the same event.
On the way to the Nats we parked behind this Carapark at Echuca, then leap frogged it to Lake Boga without actually seeing anyone with it. I thought I knew where it was headed, but of course I was wrong, it wasn't at the Nationals, although I feel I've seen it on the Forum.

On the way home after passing through Robinvale I looked in the mirror to see an F250 with a big white van powering past. When it was half way past I saw the porthole window and got a bit more interested. It pulled away rapidly and so I hoped it would be stopped somewhere ahead and it was, at Boundary Bend, the owner booking into the caravan park. He didn't have much time to chat but the van was a homebuilt 25 foot, tandem axle, six berth with shower, built in 1959 by his father at Yallourn, Victoria. It now resides in Kingaroy, Qld and after some refurbishment he is now using it when he works away from home as a mechanic. He only had 15 minutes to get on site and off to a job so I didn't get a look inside.

G'day Griffin,
A couple of great photos of the two vans you saw on the way to the Nationals.
I think the Carapark may possibly have reminded you of the Carapark Superb that Stephen&julie (I think it was them?) recently rescued, then sold on. It had similar livery...
The bondwood is huge! But what a great van! I'm not sure I've ever seen such wide side windows. I wonder if they were specially made, or were available off the shelf?
