Well the reconnaissance mission has been carried out. Using the Reddotel tour masters guide here are some findings. The park has sealed streets with grassed and concrete pad sites. A cosy camp kitchen with all amenities, big fridge, stove with oven, microwave, jug, toaster, all cooking gear with plates and utensils. Closed in at the kitchen end with roll up clear blinds around 3 sides , tables, chairs and a couple of lounges. Currently has three parts earth floor but have been assured that paving is imminent. Neat clean and tidy shower block, laundry has 2 machines and 1 dryer 4x1 dollar. Fire pit behind small barby area. Friendly owner/managers whom are caravan-er`s themselves. Suggest Saturday evening meal, camp ovens in the fire pit, don`t worry if you don`t have one as there is the stove and barby`s. If you feel like dining out 2 of the 3 pubs do meals and there is Chinese at the bowling club. Junior Tour organizer First Class.
Entertainment to come.

Thanks for that, it sounds really nice. When I rang up to book I also experienced a very nice lady on the phone as well. We have a camp oven that we will take. We are keen to cook a meal on there, or go out, whatever the consensus is We're really looking forwards to catching up with everyone and having a great weekend away

Well done, Aquarius Mother. That would make 16 confirmed bookings that I know off. Anyone else that has an interest needs to book, remember 26 powered sites.

Justin (Robson), Jane (Floyd) & Boo Boo (the poodle) have booked our Little Lucy (Sunliner '62) in for the Murrurundi meet up 6 to 11 July. Here's hoping we don't freeze our butts off. See you then! Good morning fellow Christmas in July in the middle campers , If you have not booked, now is the time. If you have you are one of the 17 that I am aware of well done. Murrurundi is a great little town with plenty to see and do in the area. As time goes by I will list some activities. But now is the time to sort your calendar, get booked in, check your van over and make sure the family truckster is ready to get you there safely.

OK beautiful people, Have just returned from a cruise to Murrurundi in the old Jaguar. Happy to say we have 16 Vintage Vans booked in thus far. There is only 2 powered sites left after their other commitments but plenty of unpowered. If you want powered ? ring to avoid disappointment. We will have a good time. JD.

OK , here we are 4 weeks to go, Murrurundi just had a couple of inches of rain so will be nice and green. Temperature slowly coming down ready for a nice cosey get together. Check list out, site booked ?, van ready to roll ?, car all good ? If you have answered no to any of those questions you know what to do so lets get cracking. What could be better than sitting around the fire with like minded sick puppies enjoying a brew. JD.

OK Christmas in July participants. 2 weeks to go so excitement is building.Long term weather forecast 0 to 3 degree lows and 13 to 14 degree sunny days. There has been plenty of rain so the country side will be nice and green. We will be able to have a nice fire to gather around to keep warm and cook our camp ovens, Pam and I will have plenty left over if you don`t have one and I`m sure others will be the same. We have the cozy camp kitchen where you can cook or boil the jug. TV on the wall to keep us amused. There are a couple of coffee shops and the pubs and Bowling club which is in walking distance do meals. There is a grocery store if you forget anything. Looking forward to saying G`day. JD.

THIS IS A SAD DEAR JOHN LETTER. Dear John it is with much regret that the Shagnasties have to announce that they will be unable to attend the Xmas in July Get Together at Murrurundi. After prolonged back pain himself was admitted by Specialist to Hospital and had spinal work done. He is home now but still in severe pain. Every time he moves making noises like a female Russian tennis player. NO we know what you are all thinking but it is not shaggers back that caused it (if only). This is likely to be an on going problem probably crutches and wheelchair job for some time. He couldn't hook up the Sunliner to the Fairlane with such pain and is on such heavy medication not allowed to drive anyway. We know you will all be as disappointed as we are that the life of the party won't be there. But chin up try to enjoy yourselves anyway. Bright side is powered site for at least Friday - Sunday night should now be available should any one want to grab it. Luv 2 U all. Hope you all have a great time. Lord & Lady Shagnasty.

With names like Lord and Lady Shagnasty One can`t help coming to the conclusion that when a bad back is mentioned it may be due to a nasty shag. May One suggest that even though with approaching years Lord Shagnasty does lay claim that the older he gets the better he was. Perhaps with this in mind it is time to review the publications on his dresser to pastimes a little less challenging. One could say chin up back to yourselves but that may have been the root cause of the injury as it were. One only can say look after yourselves and perhaps review your forum name to something more genteel such as Shagently.

Oh that brought a smile to my face and I had a good giggle reading these last two messages. To you Shagnasty's, sorry to hear that the Lord is not well and I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. Hopefully he'll be on the mend and you'll be on the road again in no time. Monica
