Just to let you know where this van is
This is the most difficult retrieval I have ever done, little room to manouvre, no wheels on the Don, hubs were really rusted up, so dragged it on with the winch.
The inside is remarkable & original, even the upholstery. It hardly needs anything done except a clean.
The bearers all crumble at the touch of the fingers, the rot is the most extreme on any van picked up to date, It will need a body off resto, new chassis, new axle, springs & wheels, new main wooden frame that bolts along the chassis, & 200mm off the bottom of all external sheets. That's just a minimum at a quick look. Not sure on how much flooring needs re-doing as the ends are hidden.
This was all fairly clear from detailed photos before buying, so no surprises, & is what I like doing. ST

I was amazed by the interior and how good it was but concerned about the effect of it sitting on the ground for so long so didn't hit the bid button! It'll be good to see it back on the road again and I hope you will post the journey along the way Cheers Andrew BTW I loved your thread on your family Don that found you again! Pretty special stuff!
