Hey guys, anyone on here tow with a valiant vc? I own a safari and I'm looking at a coupe of caravans. Sun liner 16ft weighing 1200kg. Was just wondering how it is on fuel and how well they actually tow. Cheers

Hi valintvc1. Welcome to the forum. NOTHING tows as well as a Sunliner!!!! Just ask any Sunliner ownwer!!! Seriously though , they do tow superbly, due to their combination of light weight and streamlined, aerodynamic shape. Most punters can't be convinced how well they do tow, until they actually tow one themselves. Then they become a 'true ' believer!!!! BTW the 16footer you're looking at must have had a fair bit of weight added, because they were sold with an advertised towing weight of 14.5 cwt or 736 kg!! The fuel consumption of your VC will depend on so many variables.eg state of tune of the 225/ manual or auto/diff gear ratio/speed you like to tow at etc etc. But generally speaking, I would have thought that you could expect around 15 mpg ....ish( 19L per 100)......based on Manual EH 186 cu in towing 13' Sunliner @ 17mpg ave.over 10000km. Hope this helps. Sutcac.
