Hi All , I'm planning on Restoring a 60's sunliner with Pop out windows & I would like to know if Wrap around windows from the 58 , 59, or 60 model can fit a later model instead of Pop outs I'm sure someone here would know if it can be done. The Bodies look the same to me apart from small changes. Is there anywhere that sells the wrap Windows? if you have any informtion about converting pop out Windows to Wrap windows please drop me a post / Thanks Eck

Why would you bother to do it. I think the changes to the body would not be worth the trouble........and the swing out aluminium windows are far less troublesome than the perspex windows. I have both types of Sunliners here at Newcastle and my plan is to eventually sell the one with the wrap round windows. Also consider the ventilation benefits of the aluminium windows

Eck, We still don't know where you are. There are 2 sets of wrap windows being done at a Liverpool firm right now. Have you made a decision to stick with the flat windows or attempt to put the wraps on it. I know of a bloke near me that put Lexen over the window hole where Flat windows were, then used 'Sicaflex' in an attempt to seal it.........didn't work!!!!! even though he screwed it every 100mm I still don't think the conversion can be done without a lot of fibreglassing to recreate the correct 'holes'.
Regards Peter

Humpty, are the windows being done now the blow moulded ones wrap style??? how much??? I mentioned in another thread that we had some quoted on and the guy wanted 700-900 for each mould and there would be four moulds because every window bends a different way.. ouch .. we got the heat gun out and bent up some new ones and they look ok... better than the white broken things that were in there.. I still would be interested in a second set.. you know just in case.. we made ours out of a tinted perspex .. There was a guy at the Nationals that had a sunliner with the wraps changed into a aluminium style but to go the other way sounds pretty hard to me... Where our windows fit in the fibreglass is moulded as well... can take photos if you are interested.. Deb
