Just a quick update on numbers for Canungra...
Can everyone check their details in next 6 weeks (especially people with ??) in case I've missed someone off the list ? This is about 25 vans so should be good event. This is a combined list of people from VV & SEQ forums. Saturday dinner numbers are in brackets.

As things have turned out we will be in the area at the end of July. Please add our name to the list of attendees. Who do I contact to hook a site. What is the address of the location. Can you add our names to the Saturday Pub Dinner List. Thanks Michael and Anne

Can someone please explain the "wagon train" parking for me please? I understand in the days of the Wild West, but with caravans and annexes to the centre, is there going to be a car space between vans? Not sure how it works with about 20' spacing between vans for cars to park (and come and go). Someone please explain to an old bloke?

Thanks SO much for organising such a fabulous event so close to the Goldie. I felt as tho I had gone far far away and relaxed heaps. Learnt to use my wee pot belly and made some Damper um a Big frisbee cookie more likely... Cheers.

Hi Rod
If I was technically more advanced with maths I'd do a drawing but here goes instead!
Currently there's about 30+ vans coming. If 40 vans come & we allow 8 metres per van (2m for van, 2m for annex, 2m for pegs & 2m for free space) then that means we need a circle with a circumference of 320m if everyone gets it together & parks sideways across the imaginary line of the circle. Doesn't matter which direction they have their tow bar, either facing into the circle or facing out of the circle, as long as they park sideways & vans are positioned offset or staggered to their neighbours. Then they take their car out of the circle & park it nearby leaving a free area in the middle?
Now... divide 320m by pi (3.14) to get the diameter of the circle & it's just over 100m.
So Roddy, if you get there first to Canungra, can you find a spot for the fire drum in the middle of the circle with a diameter of 100m. Then if everyone parks 50m away from the fire drum on the edges of the imaginary circle, we should be right.
Obviously if everyone parked car-van-car-van end to end, yes we would need the whole arena & it would be too big an area in the middle & parking the vans would be impossible! Hopefully 50m will be short enough distance for people to carry firewood, chairs, tables, food to the fire in centre without it being a long hike. It'll warm us up!
Now can I go back to doing whatever it was I was doing?
