Hi V V 's,
We have just returned from from caravaning with 5 other couples on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. Whilst at Port Vincent, we meet a delightful couple (both aged 82) who used their superbly presented Roadstmaster for about 3 months each year.
We chatted with them for an hour or so and they were very happy to allow me to take as many photos as I wanted.
No, unfortunately the van is not for sale as they really enjoyed going away with their grandchildren.
Hope these photos provide an insight to such a beautifully maintained original (1962) Roadmaster. I have quite a few more if anyone is interested.

I agree, it could have come off the production line yesterday. I was also particularly impressed with the roof because of its condition, I asked the owner( unfortunately I've since forgotten his name) and he indicated it was caneite. The interesting think about the whole van, was that it was original ( apart from the fridge which had been replaced about 2 years prior. Even the paint was the original.
If you like, I am only too happy to post some more photos on the web site.
G'dday Winterwood, what a magnificent caravan & in such brillant condition & they use it for 3 months of the year & its 46 years old, amazing!!! Wonder if they would like to adopt me as their new grandson? Iwould just have to hope they would leave me the van Regards Brett.

Am sure I am the long lost granddaughter they have been looking for......it is awesome...and how young those two wonderful people look! Vanning must keep you preserved and young at heart...gimme some of that! Hope I am still holidaying in our van in my 80's!
I know this is an old thread but I can update. From post No 1 the owners names were Betsy and Colin. Betsy has sadly passed away and Colin (now in his 90s) is in a nursing home. The van is in the same beautiful condition as shown in the previous photos. Jen and I are now the new owners of this van and we are currently bringing her home from SA having found her on Gumtree. A search of the forum found this thread and Colin's children (now in their 60s) were extremely interested in the photos, especially of their parents. Colin purchased this van when it was one year old from his mate who wanted a larger van. He has had it ever since kept in a garage when not in use. His daughter told us he shed a tear when told that it was sold. We will treasure it and keep it in original condition. See you at future VV events. Rob and Jen (Cherry)
