Max/Adam, Beautiful looking thing and looks like a perfect fit Can you tell us if the walls on this annex clip onto the roof so that it can be used as an awning only ? I've pinched the photos for the Annex/ Awning thread OK ? Cobber.

Hi Cobber, yes the annex walls do roll up to the roof to convert into an awning, they are held in position by a cord which is sewn into the canvas. I also have all the original timber poles but I prefer to use steel telescopic poles so I don't have any sag in the walls.

Thanks Adam, I was interested to know if the walls were attached, and removable, similar to those shown in this example. Sometimes clips were used, sometimes zippers, and more recently Velcro tape. What you have was more common in vintage days, I think. Cobber.

Getting very close to the end for Adam. A couple of quotes from Adam that accompanied his photos. "All I need to do is fit the upholstery and that should be the final chapter and retirement from caravan restoration." "The upholstery is going to be a beige colour with black stitching and the Don badge embroided into the backrest in silver. I'll try and bring it to show you when I have holidays in Jan. Thanks for selling it to me, it's been a pleasure." Max

What a magnificent result, Adamcharch! Congratulations on what you've achieved. The Don looks absolutely magnificent. What paint did you use for the roof? Don Ricardo

"Thanks Don" we will have to pair the vans up one day. I used Killrust, aluminium colour on roof, it was the only paint I could find in the correct colour that is non corrosive.

Hi Adam, can you please let me know who made the new door for the Don and also who did your lead light windows? We have a Don 120 and these are two issues we need to deal with in our van.

Hi Yve, I made the new door and one of my neighbors restored the leadlight, she does it as a hobby so it was cheap.

No problem, if you need any advice feel free to ask. I can ask about having your windows restored if you like, it cost me around $300 with 3 windows completely replaced. I am in Kilmore.

Hi Adam,
I would be very interested in connecting my lead light windows with your restorer. Please be in touch 0407873997
What is the liquid you have your hinges soaking in?
If you have itchy fingers...it might be my Don calling. :-)
