Hi all, There's a neat little 10 ft Supalite on Ebay at the moment here. It looks to be in good condition (always remembering that photos can hide a hundred flaws!). The seller's narrative is a little bit confusing (to me anyway) but reading my way through it and comparing the internal pics I am pretty sure it's the same van which has been featured on the forum here, so if you want a van with a known history - this could be it! The seller suggests in one place that the van may be as old a 1954, however the aluminium framed windows indicate that it is no earlier than the mid-50's and probably later - see the forum thread referred to above for further details. Hi Don, That was one of my old vans, sold earlier this year to a fellow in Sydney! Must not be what he wanted,as often happens on evil bay! I bought it from the original owners son who unfortunatley was not able to keep it undercover and use it anymore.then I was offered a beautiful one off Bondwood from a couple from this forum, which I am still in the process of restoring. The Supalite,as you say,is from the late fifties. Cheers Hughdeani

Hi Hughdeani, Well, there you go! Six degrees of separation or something Iike that. I presume I was correct in identifying the van in question as having belonged to Alanjb07, as per the thread? Don Ricardo

Hi was interested in this van, what would you expect a fair and responsible price would be to pay for it. Cheers

Hi Ken. That`s one thing we don`t do - its a case of you pay what the asking price is or haggle with the seller.

Wonder why the wheel arches have been enlarged from the original?

Hi Roehm,
My first reaction to your question was to wonder whether your eyes are much better than mine...or whether you were pulling our collective legs...??
However, taking the question at face value and having reinspected the photos - the van has had some black spats added which make it look as if the wheel arches have been enlarged, but I think they are probably the same size under the spats. The spats have probably been added for effect. Unless your eyes are indeed better than mine and you've seen something I've missed...??
Hughdeani may be able to tell us more if he added the spats...
It really is a bonzer little van though which would be suitable for someone with a smaller/older tow car. After all Alanjb07's dad towed it across the country with a (4 cylinder) Consul.

There was some damage to one wheel arch,so instead of cutting into the body I made up a template for a spat and liked it so made 2! They are only held on with 4 screws Nd cup washers so easily removed back to original. Cheers Hughdeani

Sorry DonR, that's what you get when you don't look closely! also a problem sometimes with laptop screens, if the angle isn't quite right. Looks like somebody else considered it a bonzer van and bought it.
