Hi,
I have a 1965 Coronet van that I have recently purchased and am in the process of restoring.
There is some great historical information available for Coronet (YouTube etc), but I am not finding many older Coronet vans showing on any internet search engines.
I am wondering if there simply aren't many older Coronet vans out there or perhaps people aren't showing them via the internet.
I would love to hear from anyone who can direct me to sites / people with pics etc of older Coronet vans....I have been in touch with Andrew from Coronet - but would like to understand more about their early colour schemes and also some pics of restored vans.
Unfortunately this forum has exceeded its upload limit and I am unable to show some of my pics here....any idea how this can be rectified please?
Cheers...Bernie.

G'day Bernie, and welcome to the forum! Your best starting point is to look at the Coronet history information in our Down History Lane section.Once you've digested that info, you can do a search of the forum to see what else is around. If you're not familiar with how the search function works on this forum, have a look at the pictures I posted in this thread showing how to do it. Just substitute the word 'coronet' for the word 'sunliner'. To post photos, have a read of the first few threads in this section of the forum: Forum Guidelines & Helpful Forum HintsIf your van is genuinely a Coronet, you may find the chassis number welded on the inside of the channel of the drawbar arm on the doorside. Get a torch and lie on your back and slide in under the drawbar, about where the arm disappears under the front of the van. Look for a number welded inside the channel there. Let us know if you find anything. cheers, Al.

Hi Al, Thanks mate for this information. Andrew from Coronet confirmed it is a circa '65 Coronet but isn't sure of the model. I have posted the link to some pictures (hope the link works!), of purchase photos & restoration underway pics. the van has a the chassis number on the drawbar & the number is 1592, it is written in chalk in side the front panel...you can just make it out on one of the pics below. s1269.photobucket.com/user/Bernico358/library/1965%20CoronetThanks for your comments...much appreciated. Cheers....Bernie.

Hi all, I think I have purchased this exact van, any help in finding the same cladding would be grrrreat. Only want to repair the front panel under window, was thinking I could attach curved plain sheet on both sides if I cant get the original stuff.
