For the 'RITZ' I reckon I could line up a long term engagement with some of the chic brand names in somewhere like David Jones π I can see it now.... perfume one week, exclusive fashion the next week, ladies shoes on special occasions, all with the RITZ in a starring roll, just like Ol '36 had in the Woolies Ad. π

howdy all over the winter, our opposite neighbors took a summer sojourn up to qld so we took the opportunity to make good use of their big carport and did some work on the roadie. we replaced the left hand electric brake setup and the drum, pulled out the rear curved windows and resealed them. we also replaced the rubber seals on all the flat glass windows, we cut out, filled and fibreglassed a few (24 in all) cracks and splits on the roof and resealed them (the darker sections). feeling happy, we brought it back home (long trip, from across the road) and put it under the brand new cover we bought for it, snug as a bug in a rug (you'd hope). of course, it's still parked under the dreaded angophra tree that has three times caused significant damage in the past. well, yesterday, we took the cover off to get it ready for shellharbour and to our sheer delight, no holes in the ceiling, not a single one - we'd survived the windy season without dropping branches causing any damage, we felt so proud and happy. they say pride cometh before a fall, especially a falling branch. we were inside today and judy looked up to the skylight and noticed a design change. the glass is high strength structural glass used on high rise buildings so it must have taken a good old wack. we don't have time to fix it before shellharbour so it'll just become a kind of arts and craft/art deco feature for now. geoff 'n jude

As this will be one of the premium diplay vans with the ocean views at Shellharbour us minor vans from the hunter back in the outer suburbs would be expecting it to have an imaculate presentation thus giving us something to aspire to if we were to win lotto.

howdy all we were driving home from a doctor's visit for judy this afternoon and a news report said there was a storm brewing and people should move their cars from under trees to prevent them from being damaged by falling branches. well, we got home and had lunch and at about 4:30 the storm came and went in about 10 minutes without any problems to any vehicles that were out the front, thank god. you can probably guess where we're heading here. at 10 to 6 in perfectly calm weather, there was a loud crack, followed closely by a deep and "sickening thud". we went out to have a look and the van seemed ok but lying beside it was a piece of angophra tree that had broken off and was "just leaning on the roof". wow, that was lucky (we thought) and moved it out of the way so we could look under the cover and inside the van. well, it was lucky, but unfortunately, the luck was all bad. this time it not only punched a hole in the caneite roof, but it also smashed one of the exposed double curved roof rafters in two pieces. we're getting pretty experienced at repairing the canite roof sections so this repair on the curved rafter will be a new experience. all this happened 6 days earlier than the last year's event, so we've got more time to fix it up before our annual holiday break. as jailbar often said, it's all good fun. geoff 'n jude

So what you're saying is that the rest of the tree didn't fall over because the broken limb made it all lopsided, despite all those extra straight cuts oops, I meant other breaks that happened after that first limb fell off? What rotten luckπ±π. So those storm warnings were true then So sorry to hear that guys. Maybe a pre-Christmas family working bee is an answerππ¬π¨

Hi Geoff & Jude. Love your Roadmaster caravan! Well done. Iβm George from KokoVans in south Australia where we revamp classic caravans and turn them into commercial food catering and coffee sales business caravans. We custom design and develop commercial caravans into a business solution appropriate to customers needs and enter into leasing arrangements for mobile business enterprises. You can look up KokoVans on Facebook to learn more about us. 0407778590. I have a question for you. I recently reconstructed a 1965 original roadmaster caravan for a customer and now require the front and side decals for this caravan. I do have some photographs if that helps and hope you may be able to help me find somebody to print them for me please? Kind regards George
