Hi all, Finally found a few spare minutes to read this thread. A lot can happen between now and October next year, but it sounds like a plan. Currently I would think that I will fly over - won't be game to drag the van across the Nullabor by myself. It will be nice to catch up with the WA Vin Vanners again Luv Di

Well people I suppose its time ?? The dates for our get together in October Start 20Th through to 28th This will give those driving over 12 days after the school holidays terminate over your neck of the woods so it won't be so booked out every place you stop. For those flying in or as they say "doing a MrT" you may need to arrive a couple of days prier so your loaner vans and tow cars can be organized . More details about this when I come over to the Nationals at Cowra in April Will update with more info early in the new year Brian.

Hi Brian, Thanks for putting up the listing of which parks we are going to visit. I have just looked at all the places on Whereis. I have been to Beverly , but not to any of the other places, so it will be great for me to see them. I have always wanted to go to Margaret River, so as we are finishing there - I might just need to stay for another few days and try out the wineries ;D ;D ;D Looking forward to this trip. Regards Di

Hi, I will be attending the margret river section or passibly the perth section, as I am keen on finding a 1968 Franklin single axle caravan, as per the picture. (hoping it comes through) The car and the truck have been restored and looking for the correct franklin van to complete the package. Cheers Mark and Shaz.

brian, has this event been cancelled or what ? just rang the parks you stated to ring and they knew NOTHING about any vintage caravan group coming into their parks in october. also checked under your name, snail and any other name i could think of and NOTHING also, the phone # for bridgetown is incorrect...should be 08 9761 1900... looks like nobody is attending as i can't find any confirmation of attendance in any of the threads and there are no updates that i can see.

Hi all,
Well had a long chat with the boss yesterday and unfortunately I am unable to get enough time off work to come over WA for this event.
Just too many deadlines that have to be met with a new project.
I'm sure you will all have a great time without me. ;D ;D
All the best Diane

Hi Brian,
Yes shame I can't make it, but luckily for me I don't drink champers anyway, so you would have had to drink it either way ;D ;D ;D

Hi All Just wondering if you have a basic itinerary for the trip. My vans are not road worthy yet (being very new to the renovating bug) but I would love to come and visit?? So, I was wondering what are the exact dates you will be in Bridgetown and where are you planning on staying?? Cheers Penni

G'day Brian, I know of at least three vintage caravans that are heading over to the Beverley caravan park, from the East coast, to pay homage to the "Grand Poobar" and help celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the vintagecaravans.com web site... that led to the vintagecaravans.com forum.... that led to the growth of this great vintage caravan hobby that now exists in this country. We wish those three long distance travelers safe journeys.... there and back Cobber

We thought of you all as we by-passed the Beverley turn off on our way to Wave Rock, unfortunately not in our teardrop, but in a 44 seat Coach.

G'day Ditzy Jeni & all VVers, It was great to meet up with you again, thanks for coming to Beverley to see us off on the tour, wish you could have joined us on it. About to start day two....but already we have enjoyed the adventure. Had a good crossing of the wonderful Nullabor except for one day when we had pretty savage cross winds that the Swamp van had trouble copying with, but that's OK...you just go slower, we found three "free camps" on the crossing and that was good Had a look around Kalgoorlie etc...free camp there too, right on the edge of the township so from what I've seen so far WA has changed it's attitude to free camping since we were here in 1995. Only had two days in Perth...a couple of other east coasters over here for the web sites 10th anniversary tour had a couple of extra days, so they got around all the junk shops first and cleaned 'em out So now.....we're looking forward to day two of the run around the beautiful WA country Side with a great bunch of vintage vanners. PHOTOS . .....later on Cobber...on the west side.
