The van isn't finished but I've picked a name for it already, what does everyone think about Astor Leisure Line? I named it after the yellow fridge you can see in the second picture which was my Nanna's first electric fridge in the early sixties. I've also got some progress shots for Humpty. I couldn't replace the right hand side this weekend as the clouds were hanging around so I went looking for something else to do, and as I like food more than clothes I decided to make a pantry at the end of my wardrobe as in Tickos van. Hope you like the pictures. Before After

why didn't they make them that way in the first place seems like you get better access to the wardrobe plus a pantry, and you dont have to bend down to get at the food! cheers

Do you have any outside shots of the van? I have found someone who has a similar wardrobe but he wants to know if it is a brand name or a home made job? Cheers retro1

Hi Retro Here is a side on shot of the van, it was apparently home made in 1960. It has aluminium over the ply on the ends and the original qualicraft windows that have been painted black. I've been looking for dates or makers names but haven't found anything yet apart from a tin patch at the end of the roof that says 'the future in saucepans in absolutely clear'.
