Hi Dale Good to see ya managed to work your way through all the issues you and Col encounted with the truck on the way home from QLD... Th amount of defects would have made the problems with Cootes transport Co fuel tankers look like chicken feed Congrats on the new venture.. I am sure it will be a success. I spoke with Dave from" Treasured transport " when he called here to pick up the Austin A40 Ute the other week. ( does a lot of paddock retrievals .. old cars/trucks/machinery etc) He said he use to cart old vans but they where too much of a problem with windows falling out and bits of ply etc coming off like space shuttle tiles. I mentioned covering the entire van with a heavy cap tarp and lashing the whole thing down.....He didn't seem all that interested in collecting the vans and doing that sort of tarping up..... So... looks like if you are prepared to do a bit of roping ya will do alright mate... ;D Good luck Reddo

Thanks Reddo, yep we had some issues with the truck, I bought it off a bloke in tweed heads where I'm told it had just had a rwc, nice clean original truck with good paint.... Had no brakes left by Sydney, broken wheel studs in Euroa etc, windows falling into the door, no door rubbers etc Was a great trip home, one we will remember for the wrong reasons....we ended up ripping it to bits and rebuilding everything, front end, brakes,Tailshaft etc. Used all the panels, dash, wiring off another F100 we purchased And made one really good truck Haven't had anything fall off a van yet, ha ha, I had noticed lots of guys don't want to spend time with moving bond woods, hopefully I can provide that service

After talking to a customer on the phone today it reminded me to put up another service on here that we can offer. We can recover a caravan from a property and also do whatever is needed to make it towable for a customer, wheels, tires, lights, brakes, wiring or repairs etc
For example if someone from interstate bought a van we can go pick it up and have it ready for them to pick it up and drive away , we can store it safely until a suitable time for them to have holidays and road trip..
Or the other example is we go pick it up interstate and deliver it ready to use..
We have extensive knowledge of old vans and old cars for those on here who don't know us, or Kaybee (Dad)
Hope to be of help to some people, cheers Dale

It's been a busy weekend with vans and cars... We picked up this one early in the week and transported it up to its new owners near Echuca on Saturday Today we rescued this old English van out of a yard, very heavy and hard to move without tires. The lady had offered it to a few people but they all knocked it back, with the house getting valued this week it came very close to being scrap which would of been a waste Earlier in the week we pulled an Eh out of its 35 year home , flat tires, stuck brakes and at right angles to the truck..... This picture was the following day after it was running being delivered to its new owner after the owner I moved it for realized it was too good to wreck Now tomorrow I have to drop this 50 Chev over at the transport yard to go to WA, hopefully wrapping it will keep prying eyes out of it

Hi Dale,
Good luck with the new business venture.
Previously being on the receiving end of help from your parents with regards to a caravan.
I'm sure that if your work standards are remotely close to yours parents then you will do a fantastic job.
All the best Diane

Picked this one up yesterday, getting it ready to tow so we can meet the lucky new owner up in Wollongong, and they can tow it the rest of the way home. It's a ripper of a van

Hi Dale Pleased to see things are picking up for your haulage, retrieval, transport business...... Taking the time to assess the recovery so things don't get too knocked around dragging them out. . Loading and securing them safely. and .... one of the hardest things to get any company to do nowadays... turn up when you say you will..... delivering when you say you will .. with the item all in one bit All makes for a good reputation... and A good reputation spreads quickly Now.. after that "buttering" .. How much to get a 40s Plywood "Holdfast " and a Kennedy from Portland Vic to Barnsley NSW.. I have a lot of VB to barter with.... ;D ;D ;D ( Better get mum to pack a few spare strawberry jam sandwiches.. ya could be gone a few days... ) I hope things "Snowball" for you and the business in the new year Reddo
