Hi All
Just to let you know that my two months of OCD has come to an end with the completion of "Sunny's" renovation. Not before time too! My wife was thinking I had a mistress and my staff at work wondered who I was on the odd occassion I popped in to do some work.
I will post the before, during and after photos soon but not untill I show them to humpty on 28/11.
Can't wait to see his reaction as what was, aint now. The saying I head so many times in Vietnam earlet this year is true here.
SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT.
regards
PaulW

Humpty
It's contagious disorder that afflicts many a vintage caravan restorer.
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) or as some people would say HUB disease (Head Up Bum)!
Un-medically translated they mean unable to concentrate on anything else while a specific task is on the go
see you on the 28th
regards Paul

Hi All I have just finished some more additions to Sunny After pricing getting a storage box made for the van I came up with what I think is a novel idea for extra storage - two side by side old metal travel trunks bolted to a frame on the draw bar with the gas bottle in between them: Also I added some old stickers to the back windows with the Vintage Caravans stickers site taking pride of place on each side Everyone thinks she looks so cool. So do we Also, in reference to some of the recent discussion on the forum in regard to the cost of these vans increasing, of course they will as they become more popular. Compare what we have to some of the ‘old’ newer styles you see out there. Would you pay $10,000 for one of them? I think not! But people who have seen our retro fit out wouldn’t hesitate in parting with $‘s (not that she will ever be for sale). Our kids in their early twenties love Sunny. Our daughter and her husband and three kids under 5 have used her and loved it. My 21 year old son who is home on holidays is using her to crash in. He thinks it is a cool place and the fact that it’s just across the road from the beach probably helps too! So I guess it is like anything, the more popular things get the more they increase in value. Another upside of the increased popularity will be that more old vans are saved and that is a win! regards Paul
