After a quick repair and respray turned a bigger than planned we finally have our Austin Freeway sedan back on the road! Was a bit of a rush at the end to have it ready in time for the Kernewek Lowender, I was still working on it Friday morning and we hit the road at 11am. Ran like a dream for the weekend and looked good in convoy with my parents in their HQ (also a race against the clock to have that done in time!) So, without further ado, introducing Austie Postie!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to see another Freeway on the road, looks like you've done a great job. If you need any parts or info let me know.
Cheers, John

I don't think we have any interior shots, they have a very cool interior and Austie's is ok but the seats are only suitable for seat-covers! I'll try to get some good shots for you. He's off the road again, engine rebuild time. Developed a knock and I found a broken big-end locking tab and one bolt loose and the other almost undone. We were eleven finger turns from a terminal break-down! Will hopefully have it all back and ready to reassemble next week. Andrew.

Sorry John, just re-read your post! Another Freeway? Does this mean you have one? We also have a wagon! I am after a con-rod, one of ours is apparently out of shape from coming undone!

Hi Freeway. Not sure where you live but.... There is an Austin Freeway on a property near Kempsey NSW where I bought an old Carapark van from. If you get stuck for parts , just reply here and I will post the blokes name and phone number. It was a tidy car up until the local kids came on to the property while they where away one weekend and smashed every window in the car. Apart from that It has survived 2 bush fires without getting damaged. Reddo

Hi Freeway friends Do A40 rods fit Freeways?? I have a fish tub full of crankshafts(2), rods, pistons, cams... as well as a new water pump rebuild kit, fuel pumps, oil filters etc. other bits and pieces Tub is too heavy to load in and out of trailer to take to swapmeets. So it just sits in the lawn locker. Asking $100 ONO for the tub full If any Austin people want it.??
Reply here.. or send me a PM. Cheers Reddo

Isn't a cylinder (Blue Streak) just a 'B' series engine with 2 extra cylinders .....basically....therefor parts shouldn't be that hard to come by I think
