Seeshell was right. Had a bit of a scratch around on the other side of the door today as there was a small hole at the back of the wardrobe. Found a little more rotten timber Had to peel back the cladding .The nails didn't need removing , they fell out once I broke away the rotten timber Had to replace most of it ,cut back into the firm wood about 30mm - a few hours work but satisfied with the repairs. Will post photos later

Lookin like your getting on top of it Murray At least once its sorted and the skin is back on no one will know (except all of us who look at this post!) but always satisfying knowing what the end product will be Was wondering if you need window rubbers I am presuming you have quailicraft windows and you outer dust seals are harder than a horses shoe ! I'm currently tracking some down so let us know Take care ! Andrew

Wow Murray....that is quite an achievement replacing that rotted timber & I love the tiles! I thought I was the only one who used batteries to hold things together whilst glue dried! Two great minds and all that! Those tiles are in great condition. I thought about lifting a few of the Rambler's but not that fussed...there are a few stains & now I call it "vintage history". Fooling around with tiles that contain asbestos scares the hell outta me! Knowing my luck they wouldn't come off as easily as yours...... My Rambler Deluxe is a very similar shape to yours except mine is baby size, so the retro shape really hits you in the face! I love ally unpainted with the stripes.....keep posting those pic's I am intrigued what you are going to do with the interior. Will you be keeping the pink stripe paint colour outside?......raining yet???

Finally finished cutting out the rot and replacing the timber around the wheel arches Just enough clamps to hold it all together till the glue dries then above one of the windows needed replacing Trying not to rush it so got distracted doing a little polishing. here are the before and after shots Am now pulling wires through while I have the sides loose. Will throw the budget out the window and upgrade the single power point to a double Will hide an extra power point under the dining seat for a battery charger and install a hidden 12 volt system through the overheads. will post more photos of that progress next. Murray thanks for the pics on your site, this gives me a lot of inspiration for when it come to re-doing the interior on my van. Found a couple of original tiles under the fridge when we pulled it out yesterday - similar to your white ones. The pics I posted today of the wiring of my van also have a 12v system running through it as well.

With such fine weather in Tassie decided to do a little painting . Because of the small areas decided to do by hand using a shurline edger (she has been well loved over quite a few years) which gave a great finish because of the short hairs(?) The colour was slightly different after taking a piece in to match up (the piece under the step) Don't think I will get the boys to come on a fishing weekend somehow Cheers Murray

Love it Murray & 'Galah' is so fitting for a pink & grey van. I am torn at the moment whether to do V2 in her original pinky rose or go green. Probably pink to match the annex.
Was 1 litre enough?

Murray, good job, like the colours. Could I ask a favour please? Could you take some photos of the underside of your van at the back please - I'd like to see how the bottom back panel attaches to the chassis, as my van came with this panel hanging off.
Cheers
