Hi all,
Figured out how to send the photos but forgot to say anything.
She is "Sheila" a 1964 Baravan that I aquire from a State politician for $1. She had been using it as a campaign trailer and there had been big signs screwed to her with tech screws.. So there was a bit of work to do. She was pretty damp inside with 4 layers of damp carpey, but by taking out all of the carpet and a hot York summer she dried out OK. Inside there is water damage due to leaking light fittings but this has been kinda fixed. After the floor had dried out I put a couple of coats of sealer on it then a cork floor. Looks great. The original bright blue and yellow inner spring cusions were mouldy and smelly, so I had some foam rubber ones made up in a more subdued colour. All I really have to do is new curtains. I would like to get the outside done better, as the paint is a bit thin.
Last weekend we took her to rainy Augusta, and she didn't leak a bit. Tows like a dream at 95, manages 100 ok downhill and gets a bit squirrelly at 110. So that's fair enough.
The original stove is there and it really cooks, there was no fridge, but a patient of mine had a broken tooth and a fridge. So now he has abrand new tooth and I have an old fridge. Anyone have a battery cover for an old electrolux fridge?
Well that's about it from me

Thanks Gary,
When this was built there about 4 competitors in Perth, BiTone, Baravan, Moderns and Carapark.
I think Moderns are still in business, but as manufacturers of window screens and security screens.

I would love to find one of Dads vans and do it up for him. I met a guy on the internet from Qld and gave him some parts for a 1941 Chev truck. He had found his dads truck in a feild somewhere and did it up for him for his 100th birthday. He drove it around to his dads old people home on his birthday and took him out for a ride and a meal.
He said his dad just cried for about an hour at the expression of love for him. Then told him he always felt it was the worst riding but most reliable truck he ever owned. He was right about that too.
