Just to show how totally unbiased I am towards you other van owners, here is a selection of pics I took on my recent holidays down south. Yes, "she who must be" is getting quite worried about me too, checking people's back yards and paddocks. She has also threatened to make a tape of the spiel on the Propert, if one more person asks her about it. I gues she will have to wait till next hols for that. P-buckets permitting, here are some pics:
Of course I have to start with my own van. Here it is opened up with a Oztend 30 second tent being used as our annex.
This is the Propert "one off" egg shaped van in the Canberra Museum
Here is a Gypsy 10, beautifull restored inside and out. The frame on the side folds up to become a shower recess.
A beautiful example of the Don, again fully restored inside and out, owned by the same person who has the Gypsy 10 above. As well as these two vans, he had a Caraville Aluminium Van fully modernised, complete with Satelite dish on the roof, and, of course an old Propert (which, by the way I forgot to photograph!!!!) which has yet to be restored.
And of course I had to find one for those fibreglass freaks. A very fine restoration.
Now for something completely different:
Found this tourist bus in Canberra Caravan Park. It's German build, carries about 25 passengers in the front section, who then sleep in their little hutch compartments on three levels in the back half of the van. Access is gained via built-in stairs on the kerbside of the van. Each window is one compartment. Must feel like sleeping in half a Teardrop!!!! Pity they can't afford a real van!!!!
Regards
