Finally I think I have done it cannot believe how long it takes however you will have to let me know if I have succeeded.
Pete has had his 48-215 for around 12 years now and we belong to a local Holden club over here in Sydney.
We went to the FJ 50th Anniversary in Canberra October 2003 and met up with Cobber and his better half when they had their van on display. There were three vans there all in excellant condition.
I spent all my childhood caravanning first trip on a 6 week jaunt from Sydney to Adelaide and back via The great Ocean Rd a real feat in those days I can tell you as we found out later they did not recommend vans on the GOR anyway we went in the family's brand new FJ with a rented Castle 10' van on behind. So when I saw these vans the nostalgia was so great and we set about looking for a small 50's van. Cosi- Rova is immaculate and still has the icebox. We are trying to bring some of the modernisation back to 50's style and have changed the spotlights and will probably change the curtains and seat covers otherwise she is pretty good we feel.
The photo's were taken at a recent Nifty Fifties day - we were asked to display at it. What a day that was -the van resembled Dr Who's tardus there were so many people in and out of it all day. The comments were "Dad come and look at this it smells the same as ours did" Kids were in awe of the ice chest. People just loved it.
We would love to do a weekend away with others sometime
Hope the photo's have turned out and if so it is thanks to Jims instructions
All the best
