My wife and I stumbled across this van in the town of Pioneer while on honeymoon in Tasmania late 2010. The owner then was the guy who lived in it while restoring his house. From memory the brand that was painted on it was Trail-a-home they can be found in down history lane but none of the vans look like yours. I don't think I ever got around to posting the photos of it back then but I'll see what I can find for you. Andrew. P.S. very cool quirky van! Shut the front door! No way!! How bizarre that you've seen this van in the flesh!! And we purchased it from the same little isolated town of Pioneer (4½ hours drive from us), just with a different owner - probably only a few hundred metres from where you saw it back in 2010 - crazy stuff! Oh my, please tell me that you did take some photos! [And BTW, what the heck made you go to Pioneer on your honeymoon? I mean, we had to pick up a clinky old caravan from there so we had no other choice but ... hope you were just passing through and it wasn't your final destination ... might have been a disappointing honeymoon destination otherwise!] Edit: OMG I just saw the photos. Can't believe it. Interior photos as well! The power of the internet is amazing, absolutely amazing. We're so grateful that you saw this thread and that you took photos of the little van when you saw it back then. After seeing the photos of the interior I think we would have gutted it and started again, so really the previous owner did us a favour and took that decision (and perhaps a couple of hours work) out of our hands. One thing that we are a bit disappointed about is that the hatch seen in the photos is no longer present. Seems like it might have been leaking and the guy that we bought it from removed it and the sagging roof lining (looks like the water might have been pooling in the lining). Those photos have made our day, thanks again, Andrew ;D. And thanks to everyone for your positive encouraging comments in this thread. I'm pleased that all that have commented have liked our little caravan!
